The ‘making of’: a view behind the scenes

                       Panorama Walcheren    |    De Willem Ruysstraat 102    |   4381 NK   |   Vlissingen

Panorama Walcheren offers the viewer a complete overview of how a panorama is made.

Part of the exhibition and tours is focused on explaining how this is accomplished.

The path from idea to photos to composition is fully explained.

Preparation of the canvas, building of frames, stretching the canvas and the set up of the panorama is all available to be seen by the viewer.

Artist Jo Dumon Tak has been busy with this project since 2010. Under his supervision, his team paint the chosen compositions onto the huge panels.

Work goes on during winter, no matter how cold it is in the atelier.

The project will go on for another few years, when finished about 10 new Panoramas will be available for viewing.
